We live in an era of Information Overload I just hung up the phone with person number 5 in the past 24 hours that suffers from what I call IOS, Information Overload Syndrome, the human operating system that has crashed due to data overload. While technology has its’ perks, the excessive quantities of information at our disposal in every area of our lives has left a large percentage of the population either in a state of paralysis or over analysis. As a result, many people are left feeling confused, overwhelmed, frustrated and SICK! Do you often find yourself NOT taking action because you don’t know who to believe and which path to take? Or perhaps you trying everything at once, praying for a miracle. I have news for you: neither strategy works. Here are three easy steps to finding a solutions for almost any problem:
1) Identify Your System and Commit: Do your research, look at the facts and the source of the facts, find what *resonates* with you. Once you do this, trust yourself and commit to the choice you made.
2) Keep It Simple: Only try ONE strategy/philosophy at a time, otherwise you will end up confused, with potential conflicting information and not know what is or is not working.
3) Monitor Your Results: If you are clear with your objective, and trying only one approach, results can easily be monitored. If the results are not what you had hoped, try something different.
