For 25 years now people have been asking me for nutrition and health advice.

“I don’t have any energy and feel like I can’t think straight, what do I do Nykki so I feel good again?”
“I was recently diagnosed with XXX, what do I do?”
“I have leaky gut and IBS, how do I fix this?”
“Is coffee really that bad for me?”

Throughout all the years of helping people reverse their health challenges, boost their energy, and feel good in their body again, I see 5 fundamental behaviors and UNCONSCIOUS mindsets that keep them from the results they desire.

Believe it or not, the first step is not WHAT to eat or HOW to detox, it is DECIDING to do it and to do it NOW.

Everything starts at the level of thought, and it is unconscious thought and behaviors that keep you neglecting your nutrition, your health, and putting off doing something super important like my detox.

One of the reasons my 21 Cleansgets such great results in because not only do we get the toxins and the congestion out of your body so it can start to work more efficiently, but it breaks these cycles and gets you in track with healthy food and in a good wellness routine.

1.  You Wait For the Perfect Time

The fact is, there is NEVER a perfect or even a good time. And the longer you wait, the more you are hurting yourself.

There is always a trip or a business meeting or a birthday dinner or a wedding…  always.

So waiting for the perfect 3 week window to detox will keep you – stuck exactly where you are.  This is an unconscious pattern of behavior so you don’t progress and actually make changes so you FEEL good, not only in your body but about yourself!

Life becomes easy and enjoyable.  You step off the hamster wheel and move into the driver’s seat of your life.  It is awesome and your life reflects that.

3. You worry what other’s think.

How many of my clients tell me before they do the detox that they think they have to drink alcohol or eat like crap because they don’t want to make other people feel bad or uncomfortable.

They think their clients or friends will judge them.  That if they don’t eat fried food at happy hour or drink wine at the wedding, people will reject them and they won’t be “fun.”

The opposite usually happens.  My cleansers tell me all the time that when on my 21 Cleanse and eating out with friends – eating plants and drinking something caffeine free – their friends look at them in awe and feel inspired to make better choices because that is what they actually want to do too.

They also tell me that toxic relationships fall off and they realize the people in their life that aren’t supportive of them being bright and shiny and successful.  They are grateful for the cleansing and purging in their life.

4.  You think they have to do it perfect.

The all or nothing attitude is your greatest demise.

It’s okay to give yourself permission to not be perfect.  Putting off eating healthy or doing a detox because you are waiting until you can do it 100% perfect will NEVER get you there.  You set your intention and mindset to do your best. If you fall off track, you say okay, and you pick yourself and get back on the bus.  It’s really that simple.

5.  You don’t have a CLEAR plan.

“Starting tomorrow I am going to eat healthy”  is never going to set you up for success.  You’ve got to know exactly what is in your YES and NO category. Otherwise you set yourself up for failure and then will mentally punish yourself.
