Today I will be going over 3 common mistakes that I frequently see people make when they try to detox. These mistakes can cause more harm than good, and they can trap you into thinking that detox is not for you… when detoxing is the single most important thing everyone should be doing for their health.

I received a call this week from a woman who is starting my 21 Cleanse. She told me, “Nykki, I made a really big mistake when I tried to do a detox a couple of years ago.”

I asked her what happened and she told me that she was working with a nutritionist who suggested a few different products to support her in detoxing, but the woman was not a detox expert and she didn’t know what she was doing.

This is mistake number 1. Always be sure that you’re working with an educated expert when you decide to start on a detox, or are doing a comprehensive, proven program that is laid out for you. Things may come up during the process and you want to make sure you have someone to go to who can help you trouble shoot.

The second mistake that I see a lot of people making is what I call piecemealing. This means that you take a little bit of several different supplements with no real clue what you are doing. You don’t get the results you are seeking, or think you are doing a deep reset when actually you are doing hardly anything at all.

This can end up harming your process more than helping. It’s important to have the right products to pull the toxins out of your body, and the right products to bind with them to make sure they actually leave the body.

The third mistake I see is people spending all their time researching detox, but not actually DOING anything. I call this IOS which means information overload system, and we see this quite a bit in our society. People are constantly being bombarded with information that frequently turns out to be misinformation and it ends up making them very confused. So you don’t do what you REALLY need to do, which is GET THE TOXINS OUT OF YOUR BODY.
