According to Dr. Oz, at least 80% of the food we eat on a daily basis contains genetically modified ingredients.  Whole Foods posted a sign that said it is PROBABLE, not possible, that there is no such thing as organic in our country.  

 

I don’t know if you understand what this means, but it is a REALLY big problem.

 

It means our food has become a science project.

 

And because it is clear to me that most people don’t really understand what GMOs are, where they came from, and their health impacts, I’ve decided to write a blog about it to inform you of what is on your fork and populating in your body.   I made a video on the topic which explains and explores GMOs and the risks in depth.

So you understand, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are living organisms  (notice I did not say FOOD, I said organism), whose DNA – genetic material – has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering.  Scientists take the genes of a bacteria, insecticide, virus, plant, animal and even a human, and wire it into the genes of an unrelated plant or animal. This creates combinations of plant, animal, bacteria, and virus genes that do not occur in nature.  

 

What that means is that our food is made up of bacteria, viruses, and insecticides (AKA poison) and things NOT found in nature.

 

How do you think your body responds to food that is not really food?

 

Yeah, that’s what I think as well.  

 

Struggle with energy despite “doing all the right things?”  Dealing with gut issues and brain fog and looking for answers?

 

While GMOs may not be the only reason you don’t feel good in your body or regularly feel like you are running on fumes, but it definitely contributes and plays a big part in the equation.


That’s what happens when you do not get the nutrients your body needs, when the food you think is food is actually chemicals that harm your body, or when unhealthy bacteria populates and cross breeds in your gut.  

 

I hope this opens your eyes to yet another reason why it is SO important to regularly detox your body and focus on the liver and the gut.  But it takes more than just eating clean – you’ve got to have herbs and supplements to do a lot of the heavy lifting for you.  This is exactly why I created my Cleanse programs.

Now I could tell you how this all got started, but that is for another blog.  And so is some of the results from studies done on lab rats and humans to show how detrimental gmos and insecticides are to health.  

 

Here is one of the most alarming things about this whole situation – it is all happening underneath our nose and naked to our eye because there is no labeling laws, and we cannot SEE gmos or pesticides directly.  It is all hidden and disguised as normal food that we all eat every day.

 

So this my friends, is yet another one of the biggest reasons you MUST consistently detox your body.  You must stop putting GMOs and inorganic foods in your body, and you must systematically and strategically get these out of your body and support your liver and gut in dealing with what you cannot control.
