Most women complain they need balance in their life. What you really need is to learn to set boundaries and commit to them. But most people don’t know how to set boundaries. There is actually a strategy to it, and I LOVE helping my clients in this arena because they finally understand how to do what is right for themselves, and then actually do it – without apologizing or caving in due to fear or guilt.
In this video I share exactly how your cry for balance is a symptom, not a solution, how you get in your own way, and what leads to your exhaustion and burn out. I also share how you can avoid it.
I’d like to talk about the word “balance,” because if I had a dollar for every time I hear someone mention their need and desire for it, I’d be retired on a private island.. oh wait, I already have that. lol.
The truth is, you don’t need balance. Balance is a buzz word, like self-care. What you really need are boundaries.
There is an experience that you’re seeking in your life, and balance is not it. If you are always feeling tired, worn out, anxious, overwhelmed, etc. what you really need is to learn how to set boundaries.
If you are struggling to make progress in your life and reach your goals, or create any change for the that matter, then you must work on setting boundaries so you actually accomplish what you need to in order to succeed.
Learning how to do this is a process, and it is so fun to help my coaching clients figure this out for themselves. It is not about setting up these walls from a victim standpoint. It is about living from your strength and your center, and being true to you – a much different energy.
You need to get clear in what is right for you and what it is that you want, and then you need to make a plan on how you’re going to get there so you actually get traction and start to create success.
It’s also very important to look at your belief system and see what it is that is getting in your way. You will need to heal some of your deep wounds and misinterpretations of reality, and then rewrite the story from a place of empowerment so you can fly.
When you get your inner game straight and your outer game dialed, then you will be at peace – which is what you are seeking. You will feel confident in who you are and where you are going, you will make choices that are right for yourself without apologizing, and you will finally put yourself first to accomplish your goals.
Watch as stress is very rarely a part of the equation, your relationships improve, your bank account grows, and you feel better about yourself. Why? Because you know you can actually win at your own game.
